New Delhi – Honey Mahajan : The Andaman and Nicobar Islands proudly celebrate Dr. Shobhika Shree, a beacon of excellence and determination, as she successfully clears the ground audition for the prestigious television quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
After clearing the rigorous phone audition process, Dr. Shobhika received the much-anticipated call for the ground audition in Delhi, held in May. Driven by her commitment and the spirit of the islands, she arrived at the venue at 4:00 AM, joining hundreds of other hopefuls, all vying for a chance to reach the KBC hot seat. By 7:00 AM, the gates opened, and the intense audition process began.
The ground audition kicked off with a multiple-choice question (MCQ) test, followed by a crucial video audition round. Dr. Shobhika’s video audition, which lasted for 30 minutes, saw her passionately discussing her roots and experiences in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The panel asked her questions about the unique culture, history, and challenges of the islands, as well as her journey through medical school and her achievements as a doctor. Her poise, confidence, and deep knowledge left a lasting impression on the selectors.
A proud alumnus of the first batch of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIMS), Dr. Shobhika was the first from the islands to clear the UPSC Combined Medical Exam. Her dedication to serving the community is evident from her tenure as a Medical Officer in Rangat, North and Middle Andaman, a remote region where she has made significant contributions to healthcare.
