Somdutt Tripathi, New Delhi (Success Media) : The Department of English, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, organized a Skill Development Workshop on 26th August 2025 in the Conference Room. The workshop aimed to empower students with essential skill-building techniques while fostering awareness about communication, resilience, and confidence.
The session was graced by Principal,Professor Sada Nand Prasad,Mr. Amit Sharma (Head – Learning and Development) and Mr. Prashant Thakur (Founder – Thriving Time), who shared their expertise to train students in effective skill development strategies. Their presence, along with the support of the faculty of the English Department, reaffirmed the commitment to nurturing confidence, adaptability, and professional growth among students.
The workshop commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Sadanand Prasad followed by the Saraswati Vandana, which set an atmosphere of positivity and enlightenment. The distinguished guests were felicitated with bouquets by Ms Archna Mathur Teacher-in-Charge and the faculty members namely Prof Sunita Malik,Prof Sanjeev Kumar and Ms Victoria Chanu symbolizing growth and strength. In his address, Prof. Sada Nand Prasad emphasized the importance of confidence and skill development, encouraging students to actively pursue self-empowerment.
Beyond conventional skill development, the workshop also explored the responsible and effective use of Artificial Intelligence. Students were guided on strategies to integrate AI tools in academic and professional spaces, thereby equipping them with both practical insights and digital adaptability.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Victoria Chanu, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and participants. She highlighted that our greatest strengths lie in self-belief, preparedness, and resilience. As a gesture of recognition, letters of appreciation were presented to the speakers, further marking the event as a celebration of collaboration and learning.
The workshop stood as a testament to the Department’s dedication to fostering confidence, safety, and empowerment, leaving students better equipped, more resilient, and ready to face the future with clarity and courage.
